On the other hand, the Seascape strawberries have been loved for over 30 years for their large firm flavorful berries that do especially well in the summers and fall. Strawberry: These low-growing perennial strawberry plants (Fragaria × ananassa) deliver intensely sweet, aromatic berries with a flavor vastly superior to what we find in the grocery store. Everbearing varieties fruit in spring and fall. And as an added bonus plants spread via runners to form dense patches.

• Growing Tips: Transplant in early spring or fall, spacing 12-18 inches apart; plants produce for 3-5 years.

• Sun Requirements: Full sun (6-8 hours minimum).

• Preferred Soil: Rich, well-drained, slightly acidic soil (pH 5.5-6.5) high in organic matter; consistent moisture is important.

• Harvest Details: Pick berries when fully red and smell great!
