Cosmos, Afternoon White
Afternoon White is a great, 3 to 4 foot tall Cosmos. It has a great pure white color on large single petaled blooms. This is a one to plant closer to the center of the bed and would benefit from a little trellising because of how tall they can get.
Cosmos: Cosmos make an amazing addition to the flower picking garden! They are tall, robust and and keep coming back month after month as you harvest them. They are originally from the North and Central American Westcoast but have been naturalized across the country and are and easy to grow meadow flower.
Growing Tips: Transplant cosmos about 12 inches apart as the plant will soon grow 3 to 4 feet tall. Because of their height I often recommend planting them in the center of the garden beds where you will still see their flowers but it will hide their sometimes knobby knees.
